Here at Cami Wigs, our goal is for you to find the perfect hair for you, and that means we have a lot of cap options available as there is no one-size-fits all approach to a perfect wig cap. All of our wigs feature a lace front so that you will have an impeccable and natural hairline but the rest of the cap details will vary depending on the piece so that you'll be able to find what works for you.    Each listing will state the type of cap used.  For a little more about each type see below:

Lace Top Wigs

Our Lace Top wigs are an excellent choice for those seeking a realistic and breathable option.  This style of cap will have a fine lace front (typically it is swiss lace) that will extend either temple-to-temple or ear-to-ear.  The top of the cap is features a 4-5 inch hand tied section that has hair hand-tied into the top.  Making these wigs look very natural.  Lace front wigs will provide the best hairline available as the lace front will simply "melt" into your skin and become transparent and almost undetectable to others.  Only the finest lace fronts are used which will provide the utmost realism for your hairline.  Lace selected is transparent so that there is no issue with blending with any color of skin tone.  Lace tops also provide a great versatility to hair styling, as they are able to be free-parted anywhere within the lace section.  For those with bio hair that is darker, you can hide any visible hair using scar tape or a little makeup.

Monofilament Top Wigs (Mono Wigs)

A similar construction and benefits as a lace top, but with a monofilament construction that is more durable than lace.  For those with bio hair that is darker, you can hide any visible hair using scar tape or a little makeup.

Skin or Silk Top Wigs

Our Silk or Skin Top wigs are a favorite for a super realistic view from the top of the head.  If you have bio hair, the skin or silk top will provide coverage that will not allow anything to show through the top of the cap.  This means if someone looks down at the top of your head, it will just look like hairs growing out of your scalp.  Silk or skin tops do have some other considerations to think about, including if you are prone to feeling hot.  A silk or skin top will be slightly less breathable than a lace top.  Another advantage for a silk or skin top wig is that for those that have more sensitive scalps, the material used provides a soft barrier between your scalp and the hair, making it less bothersome to some than a lace-top wig.

Hand-Tied Wigs

Hand-tied wigs are the alternative to a wefted cap style.  A Hand-tied wig means that every hair in the entirety of the wig has been hand-tied and there are no wefts used.  This type of cap is extremely lightweight and ultra realistic.  For those that have concerns about someone "seeing" they are wearing a wig, it would be preferred to wear a hand-tied as if hair is moved it will appear to be growing from scalp and not wefts being able to be seen.

Hand-tied wigs can be made of various materials including full-lace, monofilament and stretch-mesh.  Stretch-mesh is the most common hand-tied wig cap used as it provides an ultra-comfortable cap that will easily conform to the unique shape of each head.  Each listing will specific the type of materials used.

Medical Wigs

Medical Wigs are a type of wig that has special features that are geared towards those that have medical hair loss, whether it be alopecia, cancer treatment or other conditions.  This does not mean that these wigs can only be used by those with no hair, however, they are designed to fit the needs of those individuals.  This can entail various features and each listing will describe which medical wig features are used.  Some examples include:  Silicone lining (typical at the ears, nape or strips along the crown or back of head); Polyurethane Lining tpical at the ear tabs, or perimeter to allow for additional adhesive if desired; Soft materials such as velvet nape or ear tabs.  Double-lining at the top of the cap, examples include double monofilament, double-lace, silk liners etc.
